The use of vacation homes is on the rise, and Airbnb is leading the field when it comes to sites that travelers are using. In a prior post, I share my top Airbnb tips for solo travelers, but now Airbnb has upped the ante! While there have may have been some hiccups and growing pains along the way, Airbnb is doing what it can to make rentals go as smoothly as possible.
In early 2018, Airbnb Plus was released. “Airbnb Plus” rentals are a collection of rentals that have been inspected by Airbnb staff, and meet a list of 100 requirements. These rentals pass tests based on the following criteria:
- Thoughtfully Designed: Visually pleasing and clutter free.
- Comfortable: Easy check-in, comfortable beds, plush towels, hangers and window treatments
- Well-equipped: Convenient amenities such as fast wifi, printed house manual, coffee or tea, kitchen utensils, and more.
- Well-maintained: Clean and well-lit entrances, well-kept landscaping, odor free, no visible scuffs on home, strong water pressure and more.
Basically everything we want in a home away from home. Airbnb Plus is available in the following cities, making them ideal places to check-into your vacation home:
- Cape Town
- Los Angeles
