November Affirmations

After watching the movie War Room, I recognized the significance of visualization and writing things down. For the month of November, I dedicated myself to self-improvement – spiritually, physically and emotionally. I decided to document my progress through a daily prayer request log, a daily record of thanks, and daily affirmations with accompanying scripture.

When I set out to do this, I didn’t realize that this would be one of the hardest months of my life, in every area. I suffered health problems, my father had a heart attack, I had issues on my job. Seemed as one thing was coming together, something else was falling apart.

With the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to overlook answered prayers. Throughout the month,  I was able to document prayer after prayer that was miraculously answered – big and small.

I thought I would share with you some of the daily affirmations and scriptures that got me through the month:

November

  • Forgive: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
  • Strength: He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29)
  • Do Not Lose Heart: So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
  • Let Go: Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander along with every form of malice. (Ephesians 4:31)
  • Healing: Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (3 John 2:2)
  • Do Not Worry: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own. (Matthew 6:34)
  • Big Faith: Every plant that my Heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the root. (Matthew 15:13)
  • He Will Provide: So do not worry, saying “what shall we eat?” or “what shall we drink?” or “what shall we wear?”… But seek first the Kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:31, 33)
  • Give Up the Good for the Great: Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. (Proverbs 16:20)
  • Be A Light: The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you out your hand t0. (Deuteronomy 28:8)
  • Focus On Today: Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the path of your feet. (Proverbs 4:24-25a)
  • Eternal Life: Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)
  • Purpose: Submit to God and be at peace with him; In this way prosperity will come to you. (Job 22:21)

To be continued….
